Avila Spaces has launched Aly, a virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence, capable of holding natural language conversations in both English and Portuguese. Developed in partnership with Elbo Pte, the company behind StudentAI.app, this innovative project makes Aly available 24/7 to answer questions about Web Summit 2024, Europe’s largest technology event, as well as providing insights into Lisbon’s innovation and startup scene, helping entrepreneurs and investors discover resources and network in the right places. Aly can respond to various queries, such as, "Which Web Summit sessions will cover Artificial Intelligence?” "What are the best ways to get to the Web Summit?” "Where will the Night Summit in Lisbon take place?” or "What are the best startup incubators in Lisbon?” This AI assistant is freely accessible to all (not just Avila Spaces customers) and offers two interaction options: voice and text. To interact by voice, users can call 213 195 000 (local call rates apply). For text-based interactions, users can go to avilaspaces.ai/websummit (English) or avilaspaces.ai/websummit-pt/ (Portuguese). Additionally, Aly can be accessed via the web at no charge. In the near future, Avila Spaces will introduce video calls and WhatsApp communication with Aly. Users will also have the option to receive an email summary of their interactions with Aly by simply requesting it at the end of a session. "This initiative is part of a pilot project we’re developing in artificial intelligence, and we believe it will be invaluable for Web Summit attendees. Additionally, we wanted Lisbon’s entrepreneurial ecosystem to have a platform that promotes public and private sector initiatives in this field while highlighting the unique advantages of investing in Portugal,” says Carlos Gonçalves, CEO of Avila Spaces. Lisbon is leading the way with technology that provides efficient, human-centered access to information. Aly is more than just a virtual assistant—it’s a pioneering model for events and cities globally, connecting people to what they need through simple conversation. "With this project, we aim to share Lisbon’s strengths with the world, enhancing global experiences with a touch of human connection,” says Suraj Naik, CEO of Elbo Pte. |
