Avila Work City officially opened at the Atrium Saldanha, standing out as the first Portuguese coworking space integrated into a shopping centre. The inauguration event, which took place on 02/02/2022, was attended by Armando Martins, chairman of the board of directors of Imosal SA (partner of Avila Spaces in the project) and representatives of various entities linked to the sector of entrepreneurship and culture of Lisbon, with emphasis on Diogo Moura, Councillor for Culture, Education, Economy and Innovation of CML. The new coworking is a recreation of Avila Spaces winning concept, with a Lounge area, individual and collaborative work zones, meeting rooms, booths for phone calls, a pantry and a brand new feature: an amphitheatre prepared for corporate events and product launches. One of the highlights is the Cube room, a glass "aquarium", completely soundproofed, hanging above the commercial area of the Atrium Saldanha. This space, located on the second floor of the Atrium Saldanha with an area of 640 square meters, is in soft opening since the beginning of 2022 and already has an 80% coworking occupancy rate. In addition, Work City has also been nominated for the South Europe Startup Awards and for the National Real Estate Award 2022. In the coming months, a set of initiatives is planned to boost the ecosystem of companies and shops in the building: talks, networking events, mini-concerts, exhibitions, among others. Here, companies can continue to opt for the Flex Office offer, Avila Spaces' option that fits into the hybrid working model: it is possible to rent meeting rooms by the day (from €13/hour), to bring together geographically dispersed teams or subscribe to memberships for employees or freelancers (from €200/month) to be able to use the cowork space to escape the isolation of the home office. "We believe the Work City concept adds a new dynamic to the building and the feedback from customers has been fantastic and has exceeded all expectations. Surprisingly, we have had great demand from both large and small companies, who are integrating cowork into their hybrid working models. With the pandemic, coworking is no longer exclusive to start-ups and freelancers," reveals Carlos Gonçalves, CEO of Avila Spaces. Eugénia Martins, commercial director of the Atrium Saldanha, reminds the added value of the Avila Work City for the shopping centre: "This project gives a new dynamic to the Atrium Saldanha, proving that we were able to reinvent ourselves with the pandemic. With this new offer of flexible workspaces, we reinforce our premium and innovative positioning in the shopping centre and office market in Portugal". We are waiting for your visit! |
