Avila Spaces nominated for the second time for the World's Best Co-working Space award
The nomination for 'Best Coworking in the World' comes on the back of Avila Spaces winning the award for Best Co-working in Southern Europe in the summer of 2022, after beating out thirteen finalists from France, Spain, Italy, Malta and Greece. Avila Spaces got this distinction for the second time in three years - this portuguese coworking space is even the only one to have two Best Coworking Space in Southern Europe awards. One of the main reasons for this nomination was the opening of the first coworking space integrated in a shopping center: Avila Work City, inaugurated in February 2021, is on the second floor of the Atrium Saldanha, in an open space of 640 square metres with a view to the Duque de Saldanha square and Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo. Here, the winning Avila Spaces concept is recreated, with a lounge area, individual and collaborative work zones, meeting rooms, booths for phone calls, pantry and a novelty: a presentation zone, with an amphitheater, prepared for corporate events or product launches. One of the highlights is the Work City room, a glass "aquarium", completely soundproofed, "suspended" over the shopping gallery of the Atrium Saldanha. The winner of the World's Best Coworking is chosen by a jury and the number of online votes. The voting period is open until 29th March and anyone can participate. The vote can be done on the Global Startup Awards website, choosing the 'Best Coworking Space' category in the 'Filter by category' menu on the left. The winner will be known at a ceremony held in Copenhagen on 29 March, which will also be attended by the portuguese ambassador in Denmark, João Maria Cabral. «The award for 'Best Coworking Space' at the South Europe Startup Awards and this nomination for the top award at the Global Startup Awards are recognition of Avila Spaces' leadership in the flexible, shared workspace sector and its abilities to provide a culture and environment that stimulates innovation, in addition to its services and resources available to fast-growing technology startups.
