Avila Spaces organizes remote working week in Fundão

Avila Spaces and Fundão City Council are organizing the first remote working week, as part of the collaboration protocol signed in August 2023. The goal of this agreement is to promote and support investment, entrepreneurship, job creation and innovation initiatives developed within the scope of Fundão's Urban Business Incubator (IUPEN).

The first Avila Remote Week (May 27-31) includes a delegation of ten Avila Spaces clients who will take part in networking activities and have contact with IUPEN's various branches of innovation, such as "A Praça” Incubator, the "Design Factory” and the "Aldeias do Xisto Fab Lab”.

"Over the last eight months, dozens of companies based in Fundão have used Avila Spaces' workspaces and meeting rooms in Lisbon when they need to meet with clients or do business prospecting in the capital. Now it's Avila Spaces' clients' turn to get in touch with this region's vibrant ecosystem and explore the partnership opportunities offered by local companies," says Carlos Gonçalves, CEO of Avila Spaces.

Besides promoting networking, Avila Remote Week will help to identify investment opportunities in the Fundão area and business opportunities between members of both communities, there is also the aim of promoting the region as a tourist and cultural destination. The program for this first exchange includes activities such as tree climbing, visits to typical Portuguese villages and cherry picking, as well as gastronomic experiences. During their stay in Fundão, Avila's clients will be staying at Natura Glamping (Serra da Gardunha) and will have the opportunity to work from six spaces in the Cowork Fundão network.
