Hybrid Work Model: there is still a reason to doubt it?

The hybrid work model is not a novelty anymore and more and more companies are now embracing this alternative that combines working from home, presential work at the company’s office and a third space, a satellite office, like Avila Spaces.
Nevertheless, some companies management are suspicious about this work model, thinking that it could decrease their productivity. To end any doubts, we gathered four benefits of this work model for employers and employees:
1. Companies can save up to 75% of fixed costs;
2. Better work-life balance;
3. Companies can attract talent from other geographic points;
4. Employees feel more motivated which increases productivity.

Avila Runners is BACK!

It’s been a long time since we wore our Avila Runners T-shirts and got our blood flowing. So we’re overjoyed to announce that our runs are back!
This time around, the members who prefer walking can join us as well! From now on, we are Avila Runners and Walkers, so we don’t leave anyone out.
We will announce the date of our next event soon, but until then don’t forget that every Cowork or Business Lounge new member as a six-month free subscription at the Fitness Park Gym, just 2 minutes away from Avila.

We have a BRAND NEW pateo!

Our pateo has a new face and is ready for the warm summer days.
After a makeover that gave the terrace a more cosy and welcoming feeling for our community, our outside space is ready for outdoor meetings, relaxing breaks and maybe a Friday drink at our happy hour!
This transformation focuses on giving our members the necessary comfort to be outside for as long as they want. For that, we have a lounge area, tables to work and beach chairs for your daily doses of vitamin D.

Reading Suggestion: “Barcelona” by José Manuel Venda

It was just last month that our member António Manuel Venda had his book "Barcelona” presentation at our Business Lounge. Since we enjoyed this moment so much we want to recommend you this book: poetry you can read at your own pace at the beach or at our pateo and internalize some important lessons while thinking about the Spanish metropole.

Member of the month

This time around we highlight our member Richard Mello, a familiar face of our Business Lounge. Originally from Brazil, he’s been part of Avila Spaces Community since 2019 after living in other countries in the past and finally settle down in Lisbon.
Richard is the CEO of Revenue Consulting, a company that helps the B2B market create their Predictable Revenue Machines, while developing the Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience areas.

TRENDY Suggestion

Eat Pray Love. Sounds familiar?

You guessed it. This new Lisbon restaurant, inspired by the bestseller/movie, has a day and night concept that gives you a coffee shop, a restaurant and a bar all in the same place.
It's simple: here you can eat brunch in the morning, have lunch, dinner and finish the day with a late-night drink (at least when our life goes back to normal). The menu is full of healthy trendy choices and more traditional options with a twist.

Open from Monday to Friday at Travessa do Carvalho 29, 1200-097 Lisbon.
