After the great success of 2020, Avila Spaces once again celebrates the Christmas season with the sale of a limited-edition wine, Avila Selection, which is also charitable. Once again, the personalisation of this wine was the responsibility of Luís Simões, an enologist of Quinta Brejinho da Costa, who knows how to capture the essence and spirit of the Avila community like no other. The Avila Selection wines were produced with grapes harvested and selected manually. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out in stainless steel vats, with controlled temperature, safeguarding all the elegance and aromatic characteristics of the grape varieties. The white Avila Selection was made from the Arinto, Fernão Pires and Sauvignon Blanc grape varieties, while the red wine was made from the Trincadeira, Syrah and Touriga Nacional grape varieties. Besides serving as a promotion of Portuguese wine, this wine also has a charitable nature: for each bottle sold, Avila donates 50% of the value to the Paediatric Wing of the Portuguese Oncology Institute (IPO) of Lisbon. After raising €1025 last year, the goal is to reach €1500 in donations this Christmas. Each bottle, white or red, costs 7€ and can be reserved here or by emailing community@avilaspaces.com or calling +351 213303720. Ready to help a cause? |
